Jeff Hardy Interview: Victory Road 2011,What's Left For Him In Wrestling

TNA Impact Wrestling star Jeff Hardy joined "Monday Night Mayhem" on Thursday (6/21) to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the show on the Wrestleview Radio Network. Hardy addressed a number of TNA related topics including his return to Buffalo on Friday, Impact Wrestling going live in the summer on Spike TV and more.

Here are some highlights of what Jeff Hardy said about:

On returning to Buffalo this Friday night for a TNA Wrestling live event: "We are doing so many fresh new things. We will rock the house this Friday night. The fan interaction is amazing. You would never experience this over there (WWE). It's how I've been my whole career. The fans come first and I always take time to communicate with the fans. At our shows the fan interaction is so cool and so beyond anything else in pro wrestling. You get so close to your favorite stars."

On returning to TNA following the "Victory Road 2011" PPV incident: "I honesty think and feel I'm at the top of my game. I've been through the hard times and dark times. Now being a father I'm so inspired with music, painting and wrestling. Once you see me that is a moment that you will never forget. I'm having the best matches in my life and wrestling the smartest ever. I'm in love with life again."

Why he enjoys the TNA working schedule: "It's huge for the quality of life. Every now and then, the human body needs that week off. At least at TNA when you have six or seven straight days off. Your body needs that. I'm extremely proud of TNA and we are doing a lot of shows that aren't televised. We are working our asses off to get things done. For the quality of life, it is a huge difference to be in TNA."

If he has anything left to accomplish in TNA or pro wrestling: "Nothing - there is nothing more I want to do. I've done everything I've dreamed up. It would be nice to become TNA Champion and end the selfish generation. Man, I can't complain. I have a great life and have a beautiful family. I love TNA and what we are doing. If I never won the title again, I'm fine. I just want to keep my health and avoid any kind of surgeries."

On Impact Wrestling going live in the summer on Spike TV: "It's a huge step for TNA and Impact Wrestling. I couldn't be more happier. I love the fact that if you make a mistake it will be witnessed by everyone who watches that night. I used to be on a show on Monday night that was live and was always excited about it as well. There is no editing involved. It's a huge step and (we will) take it week by week."

Other topics discussed:

* If he has any interest becoming part of the TNA or WWE Hall of Fame
* His honest thoughts on the Bound for Glory Series
* An update on "The Hardy Show" series
* Why he isn't a fan of Facebook

WWE and UFC Speculation on Brock Lesnar's Future and Recent Meeting with Dana White

- Sources in both WWE and UFC are skeptical about how bad the recent meeting between Dana White and Brock Lesnar really was. White said that the meeting was one of the worse he ever had with Lesnar and not part of a WWE angle but there are people on both sides who believe it was.

WWE sources almost universally believe that Lesnar has an iron-clad deal and there is no way he can fight for UFC until that contract expires after WrestleMania 29 in 2013. In UFC, people are insisting that Lesnar's WWE deal is non-exclusive and that he and White were discussing a potential fight during their recent meeting.

Not everyone in UFC thinks Lesnar will fight with the feeling that even if his WWE contract allowed him to fight, his heart really isn't into MMA and this is all some sort of ploy by Lesnar to increase his bargaining power or leverage with WWE.

- WWE officials were impressed with Tensai's match against Sheamus on Monday's RAW Supershow. People backstage felt it was one of his best matches since returning to the company. Tensai is currently being repackaged.

Latest on TNA's Lawsuit vs. WWE, WWE Says No Intentions of Offering Flair a Deal

- In the TNA vs. WWE lawsuit, the temporary restraining order against WWE was officially dissolved on June 8th after WWE's recent statements to the court about how they searched their computer network for evidence of the file that former WWE/TNA employee Brian Wittenstein had with confidential TNA information.

The order against Wittenstein is still in effect, demanding that he return any confidential information and not tamper with it or destroy it.

WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt recently sent a letter to TNA legal counsel Erika Blonquist. The letter was filed with the court last week and can be read below:

"First, and as I advised you orally on the phone during our recent conference call, WWE has not solicited Ric Flair to leave TNA and enter into a contract with WWE. WWE has made no offer to Flair and has no intention of doing so.

Second, as I also advised you, WWE has not solicited any other current TNA talent to repudiate their contracts and enter into a contract with WWE. WWE has no interest in current TNA talent."

The Viper was scheduled to feud with Ziggler and Chris Jericho in the weeks leading up to a SummerSlam showdown with Sheamus.

Reported Reason Behind WWE Suspending Chris Jericho, Vader On WWE Website

- According to a source within WWE, several company employees believe Chris Jericho was suspended for thirty days due to the act of denigrating the Brazilian flag at a Raw live event in São Paulo on May 24 for political reasons. Linda McMahon is campaigning for U.S. Senator of Connecticut and many feel the organization suspended him out of concern over what the Connecticut media would think if they read a story online about their wrestlers defacing an international flag.

How Much Money Is Randy Orton's Suspension Costing Him?, More on Recent Orton Reports

- People in WWE are being tight-lipped about the Randy Orton suspension. One source who did comment believes that Orton tested positive due to a tainted supplement. As noted before, the SuperLucha reports that Orton tested positive for Dianabol are not confirmed.

SuperLuchas and PWInsider also reported a meeting between Orton and WWE officials to discuss his future last weekend. SuperLuchas named Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and Triple H as the officials who met with Orton. One source says that Dunn would not have been part of the meeting as it's not his department.

Vince McMahon is said to be going back and forth on Orton's future but the feeling is that in the end, they can't and won't get rid of Orton due mainly to depth issues. There is said to be a small, vocal pocket of people that is growing more outspoken about cutting Orton.

Orton's 60 day suspension will reportedly end July 29th, meaning he will miss the 1000th RAW in his hometown of St. Louis on July 23rd but would be eligible to return on the July 30th RAW, in time for the SummerSlam pay-per-view. The talk is that WWE may keep Orton out after his suspension is over, to teach him a lesson and have him miss the annual SummerSlam payday. Orton being gone for 60 days will cost him around $200,000. If he's not booked for SummerSlam and kept off TV for a few weeks longer after the suspension, then he will lose somewhere around $275,000.

Randy Orton Comments on His Suspension and Return, Recent WWE Attendance Figures

- Here are some recent WWE attendance figures:

* RAW on June 1st in Alexandria, Louisiana drew 5,300 fans for $150,000

* RAW on June 2nd in Mobile, Alabama drew 3,500 fans for $120,000

* SmackDown on June 2nd in Augusta, Georgia drew 4,500 fans for $120,000

* RAW on June 3rd in Birmingham, Alabama drew 5,500 fans for $140,000

* SmackDown on June 3rd in Savannah, Georgia drew 4,000 fans for $130,000

- Early this morning, Randy Orton finally commented on Twitter and said that his suspension ends in 50 days, which would put him back Friday, July 27th, two days before the reported July 29th. A fan asked Orton if he will be returning as a heel because of the suspension. Orton said "we can only pray."

If Orton does return on July 27th, that would mean his suspension began May 25th, which was the night he appeared on RAW and laid The Miz out with a RKO. Orton was not used at the SmackDown tapings that week and his suspension was announced the next day, Wednesday.

Finally, a fan asked Orton why he was suspended. Orton replied:

"When I'm able to tell you, I will. Until then, don't believe everything you read!"
